Neighborhood Green Spaces and Rainwater Harvesting

On June 11, an educational event on community urban greenery and rainwater harvesting took place in Berlin. Using the example of greening activities carried out by residents in public spaces in Berlin’s “Graefekiez” neighborhood, the event provided insights into the collaborative implementation of small-scale nature-based solutions.

On 26 June 2026, the Co-ADAPT Nature-Based Solutions Exploration Seminar brought together participants from diverse backgrounds in Vienna to exchange ideas, explore inspiring examples, and imagine how nature-based solutions can help create healthier, more resilient cities. Through presentations, site explorations, collaborative workshops, and open discussions, the seminar created a dynamic space for learning, creativity, and collective reflection.

Designing Climate Resilience Through Nature and Creativity

On 25 June 2026, the Co-ADAPT Nature-Based Solutions Exploration Seminar officially began in Vienna with an interactive workshop at WEST – Fassfabrik, a creative hub dedicated to sustainability, experimentation, and community innovation. The opening session invited participants to discover how nature-based solutions can emerge not only from scientific knowledge but also through observation, imagination, artistic expression, and collaborative design.

Young People Reimagine Ankara Through Nature-Based Solutions

On 8 May 2026, Ankara University hosted the second Co-ADAPT Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) Seminar, bringing together young participants to explore how nature can help address urban challenges. Organised by the Nature Conservation Centre (DKM) within the framework of the Co-ADAPT (Community-Based Climate Adaptation and Biodiversity through Small-Scale Nature-Based Solutions) project, the seminar encouraged participants to develop creative, community-driven ideas for a greener and more climate-resilient Ankara.

On 30 April 2026, the first Co-ADAPT Stakeholder Seminar was held in Ankara, bringing together representatives from local authorities, academia, civil society, and citizens to explore how small-scale nature-based solutions can help cities become more resilient to climate change and biodiversity loss. The seminar was organised by the Nature Conservation Centre (DKM) as part of the Co-ADAPT (Community-Based Climate Adaptation and Biodiversity through Small-Scale Nature-Based Solutions) project, co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.

Ein lokales Stakeholder-Treffen des Co-ADAPT-Projekts wurde in Ankara durchgeführt.

Wissensaustausch-Besuch in Berlin

18. Feb. 2026

Eine Exkursion im Rahmen des Co-ADAPT-Projekts wurde am 18.–19. Februar 2026 erfolgreich in Berlin durchgeführt und brachte die Projektpartner zu einem umfassenden Wissensaustausch sowie zur Vor-Ort-Erkundung naturbasierter Lösungen (NbS) zusammen. Der Besuch kombinierte strategische Diskussionen, fachlichen Input und praxisorientiertes Lernen vor Ort, um das Verständnis dafür zu vertiefen, wie sich urbane Räume durch integrierte, gemeinschaftsgetragene Ansätze an Klimawandel und Biodiversitätsverlust anpassen können.
